When I decided to become a nail tech, my family was incredibly supportive. For Christmas, Mom was more than ecstatic as she handed me a collection of nail polishes. She was even more excited when she handed me this lamp for quickly drying nails.

Getting the SensatioNail Pro 3060 LED Lamp as a present was perfect because it wouldn’t be something I’d look at and think, hmm, I need that. It has a timer and does the job it’s meant to do. It’s simple, straightforward, and great quality. It’s really not what I expected.

See, when I was a kid, my older sister had a nail lamp. It was bright pink and purple with flowers on it, and was about the size of her head. Aka, it was a toy, not a professional tool. It had a light, but that light wasn’t what did the drying. It had a weak fan attached to it instead. Now… obviously, the thing barely worked. It was super 90’s, if nothing else.

I mention that ancient machine because it effected the way I think of them today. Even when I decided to pursue nail tech as a career, I never even thought of getting one of these lamps. When I’ve gone to get my nails down, my favourite manicurist never uses them, either. It didn’t occur to me what a good idea it is to own one, whether you’re doing nails for fun or money.

When I sat down to paint my nails and test out the lamp, I was careful to really check to see if there was any real con to offset the pros. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this lamp, though. It was quick working, professional looking, and incredibly simple. It has one button, for goodness’ sakes. It’s compact enough for easy storage and it’s one of the affordable options that actually has a high rating.
